At the heart of YOTTA is our proprietary "point array coaxial" driver system. This innovative design integrates 6 high-frequency compression drivers and 6 mid-frequency drivers, meticulously engineered in-house to achieve unmatched coherence and precision. Unlike conventional setups that rely on multiple stacked horns, YOTTA's singular horn design delivers the entire acoustic spectrum from a single point source, ensuring flawless audio performance from 100Hz and above.

For the deepest, most powerful bass, YOTTA is complemented by 15 TERA subwoofers, each featuring dual 10-inch drivers with a combined surface area exceeding one square meter (356 cm² per driver). This results in a staggering Low Frequency Air volume displacement of 13 liters, about 7.5 times the air volume displacement of a 21" woofer. Together, these subwoofers deliver an astonishing maximum sound pressure level of 137.6 dB, creating an immersive soundstage that can handle everything from the quietest whisper to the most explosive action sequences with life-like realism. The TERA subwoofer system is the indispensable complimentary product to our mid-high frequency loudspeakers such as YOCTO, FEMTO, EXA and YOTTA. This monolithic transducer has been designed to be used in pairs or in scalable power systems requiring more and more power. The subwoofer is constructed entirely with 15 mm aluminum sides, bolted together from inside the cabinet. It includes two long excursion 10" Ferrite-magnet drivers delivering 15" subwoofer output from a more compact enclosure. A system that includes two YOTTA and ten TERA subwoofers (five per side) can easily reach 130 dB continuous SPL from 30Hz up, depending on room geometry and size.

Point Array Driver - What is it?

We engineered a high-frequency driver utilizing a premium magnesium dome, typically found in high-end dome tweeters. This advanced HF driver is arranged in a Point Array configuration, where the throats converge at a single point rather than a line, ensuring cohesive and effective coupling up to 28 kHz. To complement this design, we incorporated six concentric manifolds for our mid-frequency drivers, producing isophase energy up to the crossover region with the HF units. This configuration delivers a coherent reproduction of the 100 Hz to 28 kHz frequency range, combining the dynamic and sensitive characteristics of horn-loaded designs with the refined performance of high-end loudspeaker technology.

The driver design incorporates a comprehensive array of refinements aimed at simplifying manufacturing and ensuring reliable operation within our loudspeaker systems. Our approach meticulously addresses manufacturing tolerances to enhance performance. Beginning with the magnet, we have adopted a slug type design for multiple reasons: it offers optimal efficiency, minimizes reflections towards the diaphragm due to its compactness, and facilitates superior cooling of the coil. Additionally, the coil support features strategically placed ventilation holes to minimize mechanical resistance (Rms) and promote highly efficient operation. The diaphragm has been designed to maximize frequency response by employing a transitional geometry rather than a dome or cone shape. Constructed from anodized aluminum and coupled with nitrile suspensions, it minimizes tolerances (reducing Mms tolerance) effectively. The absence of a dust cap further contributes to keeping tolerances to a minimum. The frame is CNC-manufactured, facilitating precise centering of all components during production. Its geometry effectively dissipates heat from the coil and promotes the smooth flow of acoustic energy, thereby minimizing reflections..

This exceptional compression driver offers an extended frequency response ranging from 1200 Hz up to 28 kHz. Featuring an ultra-light magnesium dome, it is equipped with a 3-channel circumferential phase plug specifically designed for our systems. With a magnetic induction of 15000 gauss and a 0.5 mm Xmax, it delivers high efficiency, low distortion, and an extended frequency range.
